Welcome to the official site of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church,
"the only church on Main Street" in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. On our site, you
will find information about upcoming events in the church, its history,
and worship times.
Who we are...
We are 650 friendly folks with diverse backgrounds, gathering to worship
Jesus, our Savior.
We see ourselves as volunteers for Christ, offering our church and our selves
to proclaim Jesus as Lord, and to help meet spiritual and physical needs of
others.
We have been located in a beautiful historic building on the corner
of Lincoln and North Main Streets in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, since 1914. Our
congregation was formed in 1907.
We are a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.
Within these walls you will find:
* Gospel-based worship services, incorporating traditional liturgy and hymns.
* Community groups - such as WINR
(Winnebago Interfaith Needs Response),
Winnebago County Literacy Council, AA and AlAnon groups - sharing our
space and addressing needs in our community.
Pastor Ted Johanson and members of our church council will
be pleased to respond to your questions or inquiries. You can email Pastor
Johanson at padrepoint@gmail.com.
This site is always undergoing some reconstruction. Please be patient as we
